You may be interested in Roblox’s Your Bizarre Adventure if you’re a big Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure fan. The game’s basic premise is simple: you have the abilities and attributes achievable in the anime! However, the game can be a little intimidating to get into, especially since it does not have a built-in tutorial.
As such, this guide will hopefully introduce you to all aspects of the game that you need to know. Let’s dive right in!
The First Encounter
Unfortunately, Your Bizarre Adventure’s storyline is not only extremely linear and contrived, but it is also incredibly tedious to do. However, if you want to get to the much more fun PvP aspect of Your Bizarre Adventure, you have to do the story. As such, I’ll give you a quick overview of how to get through the storyline as quickly as possible.
First, you’ll need to talk to Buongiorno Brovanna, who will give you your first quest to beat up five security officers. Many people struggle with this quest because they emphasize offense over defense. As such, make sure you block the officers’ attacks, or you’ll get stuck in the officers’ punch loop. Note that you can also parry by blocking an enemy’s block-breaking move. Once you’ve taken care of the security guards, you’ll have gained a few levels. This will have earned you some points you can put into your skill tree, something I will discuss later.
For now, put three points into Vitality and two into Worthiness. Furthermore, you will have acquired a Stand Arrow from the quest, which you can use to obtain a Stand. The two points in Worthiness will guarantee a Stand from your Stand Arrow. Before we move on, let’s quickly go over the skill tree and Stands.
Skill Trees And Stands
Skill Trees, as a concept, should be pretty familiar. You get points when you level up, which you can put into certain skills which give you benefits. I’ll go over the existing skills and their buffs below.
The skills are Vitality, Agility, Sturdiness, Health Regeneration, and Worthiness. Vitality has ten nodes, Sturdiness has three, and Agility, Health Regeneration, and Worthiness have five nodes each.
Putting points into Vitality will increase your maximum HP by 10.5 for each node. Increasing your Agility will positively affect your running speed and dash distance. Sturdiness will decrease the ragdoll time when knocked down, increase your blocking strength, and make it far more difficult to get Stand crashed.
Health Regeneration, unsurprisingly, increases the rate at which you regain health, whereas Worthiness will increase the chances of a Stand Arrow yielding a Stand.
Stands are the defining characteristic of Your Bizarre Adventure, which gives you special abilities that provide excellent fighting capabilities, either via increased damage output or survivability. Stands can be acquired using a Stand Arrow, though the Stand you get will depend entirely upon your luck. Furthermore, if you get a bad Stand, the process of re-rolling for a different Stand is a complicated one.
You must first get a Rokaka Fruit, which will reset all your Skills, Specialty, and Character skill points. Next, you’ll need to get another Stand Arrow to re-roll with. However, Rokaka Fruit spawn randomly around the map, so there is no surefire way to get a hold of them.
Finally, you can get Requiem Stands by first getting a Stand with a Requiem type and then using a Requiem Arrow to upgrade it. However, you need Worthiness V unlocked for this to be done.
Within the storyline, there are five main bosses. I’ll go over strategies to defeat each.
The first boss is Bruno, who is relatively easy to defeat if you just keep one thing in mind: do not get hit by his barrages or light attacks. When you encounter him, start the fight with a heavy punch to knock him down and get some solid hits in on him. Do not use your Stand’s Barrage ability yet, since you want to counter Bruno’s own Barrage ability with your own.
Furthermore, make sure you block Bruno’s light attacks and parry his heavy attacks if possible. Bruno always ends his combos with a Heavy attack, so be ready for that. Even if you do not parry the Heavy attacks, you will still win the fight because most of his damage is in his light attacks.
The second boss is Fugo, who you can easily defeat if you wisely use the points you got from the Bruno fight. Specifically, you want to level up Agility as much as possible. This will give you very high movement speed, which will allow you to defeat Fugo with minimal effort. You just have to hit him with a heavy punch and knock him down every time he comes close to you to attack. Seriously. Just rinse and repeat.
The third boss is Pesci, who is probably the hardest boss in the storyline. He has two attacks that always break your block and never miss. The way to beat this boss is to use light attacks on him continuously. Block the attack that he levies against you occasionally but make sure you do not break the chain of light attacks and barrages. Also, make sure you open the fight with a heavy punch to get a knockdown, which will help you initiate this cycle.
The fourth boss is The Ghaccio, who is super easy to beat if you avoid his one insane attack. Specifically, he has an attack that deals an inordinate amount of damage. This attack sends out an array of ice spikes that will decimate your health if they hit you. As such, just avoid this attack and go on the offensive when this ability is on cooldown.
The fifth boss is Diavolo, who is technically the hardest boss in the game, but pretty easy to beat if you know what to do. With Diavolo, the trick is to block a lot. Specifically, Diavolo will always start his flurry of attacks with a chop move, which is blockable. After four iterations, he will use a heavy punch, which you can parry. He will go red momentarily; make sure you do not attack him then. Once he goes back to normal, get a few hits in, or use your Stand Barrage. Rinse and repeat. This will take a while, but it will ensure victory.
The Tedium of YBA
Within the storyline, there are two sections of intense monotony. Right after defeating Bruno, you’ll have to earn 5000 dollars to proceed to the next boss. The second area of such monotony is when you have to grind to Level 35 before you can move on to PvP. This occurs once you are done with the story. Surprisingly, the best way to make it through this is the same for both areas.
Make your way down to the sewers and repeatedly do the quest that requires you to kill three Zombie Henchmen. You’ll have to do this an ungodly amount of times before you can move on to PvP, but it’ll be worth it (maybe).
Now that you have a decent understanding of the game, you’re ready to move on to PvP. Good luck, and have fun!
