How to Send Robux to a Friend
As of now, there is no direct method that you can use to send Robux. But, there are a few workarounds that you can utilize to make it possible.
1. Send Robux Through a Donation Item
To send money to a friend, they can set up a donation item which you can then purchase. To do this, you will want to head to the Roblox website. The person to who you’re donating to needs to be a part of the Builder Club. The donator (you, in this case), does not need to be a part of the Builder Club.
- Your friend will have to create a donation item and upload it to the catalog.
- Click on “Create’ at the top of the homepage.
- Select ‘Shirts’, and ask your friend to upload a template.
Create A T-Shirt - This will list a new item in the catalog.
- When done, you will go to the website and log into your Roblox account.
- Open up the Catalog, and find your friend’s item through the search bar.
Avatar Shop - Once your purchase is completed, 30% is deducted as market tax, and your friend will receive the Robux.
Note: Avoid uploading an item that’s already present in the catalog as that could result in a ban.
2. Send Robux Through a Game Pass
If the person you’re donating to isn’t part of the Builder Club, then you can simply use this method.
- Tell your friend to go to Roblox’s homepage.
- From here, they will click on ‘Profile’.
Clicking On Profile - Select the “Creations” tab from your profile.
Opening The Profile - You will have a default experience loaded in here. Click on it.
Default Experience - Select ‘Configure this Experience’ from the drop-down menu.
Configure This Experience - Make the game ‘Public’ and hit save.
- Go back to your Profile and back to your Creations.
- Select your creation again.
- This time, click on the ‘Store’ tab below.
Clicking On Add pass - Click on ‘Add Pass’.
- Then click on ‘Manage my experiences’.
Clicking On Manage Experience - Here, click the settings cog next to your default experience, and select ‘Create Pass’.
Clicking On Create Pass - Add a random picture, a name, and a description.
- Verify the upload.
- You can now set the price for your game pass.
- Set the price according to the Robux you’d want to gift.
- Use the link to purchase the pass and give Robux to your friend.
Note: Transferring Robux using this method will take up to 3 days in order to process the sale.
3. Send Robux Through a Group
You can create a group with the person you’d like to gift the Robux too. To do so, you’re going to want to make your way to the Roblox website.
- Click on the ‘Groups’ tab on the left side.
- Select “Create Group” at the top right.
Searching Group - Input the name and description of your group along with an emblem.
- It will take a total of 100 Robux to create a group.
Creating A New Group - Tell your friend to join the group.
- You will now need to add funds to your newly created group.
- To do so, you can either create a listing for a clothing item or make a game pass (as shown above).
Clicking On Configure Group - You should now be able to distribute funds to group members.
- Click on ‘Configure Group’ through the drop-down menu from the three-dotted icon.
Adding Payout Receipts - Head to Revenue > Payouts > One-time Payouts and then click on Add Payout Recipients.
- Enter the name of your friend to whom you would like to give the Robux.
- Enter the amount, and click Distribute.
Distributing Robux - With this method, the Robux is transferred immediately.
Conclusion
Those are the three methods that you can use to transfer Robux. Using a group is a bit more expensive but definitely, the fastest way to get your friend the Robux they need. Using this, they can gain access to the funds immediately and buy the game pass they need to play with you or simply purchase an item for themselves.
Things to Note
- Beware of Scams: Always ensure you’re only sending Robux to or through individuals you trust. Remember that scamming is a prevalent issue on the platform. If a deal or transaction seems too good to be true, it likely is.
- Third-party Websites: Under no circumstances should you use third-party websites or services that promise to transfer or multiply Robux. These sites are unauthorized, potentially unsafe, and can result in a ban or loss of your Robux.
- Market Tax: As previously mentioned, there’s a 30% market tax applied to items like donation shirts. This means that if you buy a shirt for 100 Robux, only 70 Robux will actually go to your friend.
- Builder’s Club Requirement: Some transactions, especially those involving creating items, may require a Builder’s Club membership. This could result in additional costs or limitations for non-members.
- Transfer Caps: Roblox may have undisclosed caps on how much Robux can be transferred or earned within a specific period to prevent fraudulent activity.
- Cooldown Periods: After certain transactions, especially those involving significant amounts of Robux, there might be a cooldown period before you can conduct another similar transaction. Always plan your Robux transfers with this in mind.
- Builder’s Club and Premium Limitations: Certain transaction methods may be restricted or have different conditions based on membership type. It’s always a good idea to check the most recent Roblox guidelines and terms for the most accurate and up-to-date information.
