Roblox may be aimed at kids but virtual reality (VR) games are aplenty on the platform.  Some of these games may run without a VR headset but they are best experienced with VR. A good number of these VR games require non-VR players, so if you do not have VR yet, you can still peek at how these games play.

Most of the games are developed with the Oculus hardware, so that headset is the most compatible among all of the competing VR hardware. If you have a headset and want to dig in to Roblox here are our top 25 games picks…

    1. Sound Space

    Sound Space
    Sound Space

Sound Space’s obvious inspiration is Beat Saber. Beat Saber is a VR game in the interactive rhythm genre wherein players are to slash the beats of the music flying towards them. If you are a gamer who is deeply entrenched in traditional gaming and this is your first foray into the VR world and cannot imagine Beat Saber, it is basically Tron with the core gameplay of Dance Dance Revolution and Fruit Ninja.

Obviously, Sound Space is less polished and extravagant. However, it does not mean it is not enjoyable on its own as compared to its inspiration. Sound Space’s core gameplay is decent, and the visuals are more than serviceable. The music selection is amazing though, and to quote the young ones, the songs are “bops” and “fire”. This is also one of the more unique VR on this list since the rest of our picks have similar core gameplay or motif.

Sound Space also allows players to unlock new music and cosmetics by merely playing the game. There is also a competitive leaderboard if you want to compare your mad skills to others playing Sound Space.

    2. Laser Tag VR

    Laser Tag VR
    Laser Tag VR

The actual physical laser tag is the nerd world’s first game. VR is its next-gen version. What we have here is the VR version of tag, the aptly named Laser Tag VR. Admittedly, laser tag is more of a Western pastime, so for those who do not reside in Western Hemisphere, laser tag is a recreational shooting game in which players use infrared-emitting light guns to tag pre-determined targets. To detect hits, infrared-sensitive signaling devices are usually worn by each player and are occasionally integrated into the arena in which the game is played.

Laser Tag VR plays like your typical laser tag game. You enter a room wherein only neon lights illuminate it and duke it out against the opposing team. Yes, this is a team game, not a Battle Royale game like a solo PUBG or Fortnite session. Basically, you pick a team by standing on a platform. The other team is standing in front of you, so you got to have a good look at their faces before the upcoming shootings.

    3. Ragdoll Simulator

    Ragdoll Sim
    Ragdoll Sim

In the mid-2000s, ragdoll physics was the bomb. Most Flash-based browser games implement ragdoll physics for the enjoyment of the players. It may be a puzzler, a gory shooter, or even a racing game, ragdoll physics is all the rage. Now, except for some select mobile games, it has fallen out of favor with the game developers, or maybe the players themselves have moved on from this gimmick.

If you want to first-hand experience ragdoll physics, because you are curious about its historical significance or your fandom to it never waned, then Ragdoll Sim is the VR game for you. Well, to be fair, most VR games have ragdoll physics but Ragdoll Sim allows you to be in control of everything. You can touch, pull, and push any objects in the open world. The same can be done with the environment, provided they are movable. You can also for Anti-Gravity if you want everything to be “spacey”.

The latest update introduces skydiving. Instead of having your way from the ground up, you are crashing down from the skies.

    4. VR Hangout by Splite Studios

    VR Hangout by Splite Studios
    VR Hangout by Splite Studios

VR Hangout is a game where you have to play games with other people inside a game. This inception of a game is from the makers of VR World, which is now discontinued. Basically, you enter the world through your VR headset and hang around other people and maybe play the piano, play ping pong with other players, or even play some basketball and show off your moves. Games include ice hockey, firing canon balls, Lego puzzles, darts, and some racing.

    5. Cleaning Simulator by BRIBBLECO

Cleaning Simulator is one of the best games in Roblox and it has been in over five years in the Roblox experiences. You play as a person who is applying for a janitor job over at BRIBBLECO. At first, you will be greeted with what would be a parody version of Windows 95 and you have to click the “Flexplorer” icon, an obvious satire of the now-dead Internet Explorer.

    Cleaning Simulator
    Cleaning Simulator

This is actually the game’s menu as your application would have you choose solo play or multiplayer with your friends. This brand of sense of humor is prevalent in the entire game.
Your character has arms like tentacles and will be armed with a water gun to get rid of all of the dirt in the compound or a mop to clean the floor of all the spills and dirt.

    6. Edgeworks by GregTame

    Edgeworks
    Edgeworks

Edgework is one of the only few games that are both worth the premium and VR-only on Roblox. This game has the best compatibility with the Oculus headset, so if you have that gear, you won’t have any problems at all. However, Vive, WMR, and Valve Index have some sort of control issues and this is addressed in the game’s official description.

The voice-over of this game is incredible, it is some Black Mirror type of beat with a sudden twist that you are actually choosing an “afterlife package” in this game. After choosing your “package”, you are going to get transported to that location. This is a puzzle game with great graphics, level design, and sound mixing.

    7. Cook Burgers by Sssqd

    Cook Burgers
    Cook Burgers

Cook Burgers is exactly what it is: you are going to cook burgers and other similar chores in a fast-food joint, you have to fry the patty ad after it is cooked, you put it between buns, and then serve. You also fry some French fries and also serve them. You must serve them to the customers who ordered them. You also manage the supply of ingredients, so you also have to order the buns, patties, cheese, and lettuce. And worst of all, you have to deal with rats before they ruin your Michelin rating. You can also play as the rat if you can find the potion that turns you into one.

    8. Noodle VR by TheLoneNeighour

    Noodle VR
    Noodle VR

Noodle VR has a unique proposition on how to go about multiplayer in VR. If you own a VR headset, you are the Noodle, if not, you can still play the game but not as the Noodle but rather as a regular Roblox player. This is like the social class clash version of the failed video game Evolve released way back in 2015.

If you play as the Noodle, you can manipulate all the normal human being around. You can carry them around, throw them, push them against the wall, and even make them kiss forcibly. Basically, you are a God and the rest of the poor players without a VR headset are just critters that are under your mercy.

    9. Road to Gramby’s by Mumble Games

    Road to Gramby’s
    Road to Gramby’s

Road to Gramby’s is an excellent puzzle game. You have to complete some puzzles including building the car. You have to put scour around the world to find parts for your car. You also have a gun, just in case you want to shoot people. The road to Gramby’s is indeed full of adventures and misadventures. The ending is equal part weird and shocking.

    Play on Roblox

    10. Paranormica by BrianNovius

    Paranormica
    Paranormica

Paranormica is not for cowards since it is a horror. Remember the film Paranormal? This is the 3D version of it, and the countless recorded hauntings of motion pictures. There are lots of jump scares in this game, so if you are easily scared, better skip to the next, next game on this list (as Zombie Apocalypse Roleplay still has horror elements, but not as much as Paranormica).

There are six maps to choose from Single Storey, Ranch, Prison, School, Abandoned Laboratory, and Hospital. There are objectives to complete in this game, like experiencing a ghost event and witnessing some paranormal things. You can play Paranormica with friends to spread the dread.

This game is in no way just a “haunting” game more of a hunting game since you are going to get killed if the malevolent forces get to you.

    Play on Roblox

    11. Zombie Apocalypse Roleplay: From Scratch by The Rainbow Omega Group

    Zombie Apocalypse Roleplay: From Scratch
    Zombie Apocalypse Roleplay: From Scratch

Zombies are so passé, or so many believe. Zombie games are aplenty ever since Resident Evil graced our PlayStations. After decades of zombie games, they are not stopped truly by the nature of zombie hoards. Of course, Roblox will have its countless zombie games but only one has a good foundation in terms of core gameplay and VR compatibility: Zombie Apocalypse Roleplay.

In this game, you can choose from a variety of weapons and gear to fight and kill zombies before they kill you in a zombie-infested world. Fighting these bloodthirsty beasts becomes more exciting and enjoyable when you have your pals by your side. If your friends have been bitten by zombies, you can revive them. As you progress through the game, new stages and areas become available for you to explore and clear of zombies. Each new stage provides you with new and advanced weapons to kill zombies and defend yourself against them.
This version of the game is the remake version with so many improvements. This version of the game is the “kiddie” one, so play the “legacy” version if you want that strict roleplaying mechanic.

    12. Koala Café by Koala Association

    Koala Café
    Koala Café

Koala Café is just Cook Burgers but only way better. Cook Burgers have no actual storyline, and essentially, an overextended joke. Meanwhile, Koala Café is much more interactive and players can have their headcanon while managing a restaurant or visiting it. This is also a massively multiplayer roleplaying game where there are 50 slots for 50 players. Each player will have a carved role, whether a customer or an employee of the eponymous café.

    Play on Roblox

    13. Opposer VR by OVR

    Opposer VR
    Opposer VR

This game is still in early development, so there are many kinks to be fixed. At its current state, it is a great multiplayer shooter game. It is chaotic and violent, and the sound effects are amazing. You can also dual-wield shotguns. You run around on top of a skyscraper and duke it out with other players. Weapons include rifles, shotguns, pistols, and even melee weapons. You can also use jetpacks.

    Play on Roblox

    14. Project SCP by Project: SCP

    Project SCP
    Project SCP

Unlike Opposer VR, Project SCP is a first-person shooter played against AI-controlled units. Obviously, you are going to have a shoot-out inside an SCP laboratory, alone or with other people. The game has various weapons and gameplay options including toggling on friendly fire or making the friendly fire give damage to the one taking the shot. There are also classes for players to choose from aside from swapping different kinds of guns.

The level design is great. The graphics are not the best out there but it is easily forgivable due to its superior gameplay and sound design.

    15. Vibe VR Remastered by RooStudio’s

    Vibe VR Remastered
    Vibe VR Remastered

This is the newer version of Vibe VR. There are lots of mini-games here including being a “game master” of an obstacle course, where you press buttons to activate traps. You can play the piano, and tie balloons to other players so they can fly into the sky. You can even put players in the oven.

You can also do solo things like practice boxing. You can also pull trees, shoot some basketball, or cook some food. Other games include bowling, table tennis, darts, and racing. You can also have regular non-VR Roblox players as the one with the VR headset is a god-like figure.

    Play on Roblox

    16. Sked’s VR Playground by welikeminecraft38

    Sked’s VR Playground
    Sked’s VR Playground

Roblox VR is ripe with God-figure or the “Noodle” game. Again, you are a god-like figure than the regular people and you are going to control whatever happens to everyone else. This is more of an obstacle course game where you help or make other people’s lives miserable by overcoming it.

    Play on Roblox

    17. VR Hands by Mad Vikings Production

    VR Hands
    VR Hands

This game is inspired by Sked’s Playground, almost all of the activities at Sked’s Playgrounds are also here. There are table tennis, chess, and obstacle courses where you can help or hinder the regular players from completing them. It has better graphics and controls than Sked’s Playground.

    Play on Roblox

    18. VR Escape Room by Glide

    VR Escape Room
    VR Escape Room

If you enjoy solving puzzles, Escape Room is an excellent Roblox VR experience. You can use your VR headset to enter the first-person perspective of a person stuck in a maze. The purpose is to solve riddles in order to ‘escape’ various rooms. Because users are limited in time, you must make quick decisions. Solving puzzles with your pals is considerably more enjoyable as you explore different areas of each room, rushing to accomplish the task on time.

If players do not complete the tasks in time, they will be stuck in the rooms indefinitely.

    Play on Roblox

    19. [RIOT] social experiment by vintage men’s clothing

    [RIOT] social experiment
    [RIOT] social experiment
This is an extremely random game where players are voted or randomly killed in different “experiments” like being forced inside a tank. They are also randomly revived. There is a lot going on in this game: graveyards, rooms, weapons, and so much more. Every moment, there is a roulette in the middle of the map and wherever it lands it happens, it might be handing out weapons, choosing a group to be put in a tank of water, or forcing an election to kill someone.

    20. Self-Driving Simulator by Nexus Development

    Self-Driving Simulator
    Self-Driving Simulator

This is not necessarily a game, but an interactive hangout place in the Roblox world. Players who do not own a VR headset can always play this game with others who have theirs, however, the former cannot look around the environment while traveling. As it stands, this game is considered “complete” by the developers and there are no updates anymore. Self-Driving Simulator is a great VR game to be in if you want to talk with friends in any other space than physical.

    Play on Roblox

    21. VRBlox Drawing by welikemincraft38

    VRBlox Drawing
    VRBlox Drawing

VRBlox Drawing is for those who have artist inclinations. True, it is much harder to draw using the VR controls, but for creative types, this should be a challenge, not a hindrance. In VRBlox Drawing, the world is in black and white but your creation is colorful. The drawings are also in 3D as they float in the environment. Other people can watch, or vandalize your game. But it is more on the former, as this game attracts the creatives, not the “destructives”.

    22. Crazy Stairs + VR by Sleazel

    Crazy Stairs + VR
    Crazy Stairs + VR

Crazy Stairs will blow your mind with how intricate these stairs are made. This is probably the most “gamey” of all VR-player as God since the mechanics are not just haphazardly done. You can create stairs where a player must take or add shortcuts to teleportation spots. You must guide the player until he reaches the nexus.

    Play on Roblox

    23. Slap Battles by Tencelll

    Slap Battles
    Slap Battles

As the title heavily suggests, you attack other players in this multiplayer game using only your palm as a weapon. This game is one of the most enjoyable casual games to play on Roblox, VR or not, because of its simple fundamentals, especially if you’re searching for a competitive atmosphere.

Each glove features unique stats, such as power, speed, and, if applicable, an ability that may be activated by hitting E on the keyboard. In terms of the VR experience, it may be disorienting as the hits might be too real even if it’s virtual. Players also run for their lives not to get slapped. Overall, Slap Battles is a fairly simple game with oddly satisfying face-slapping gameplay.

    Play on Roblox

    24. Alone in the Dark House by umamidayo

    Alone in the Dark House

This game is listed in our top scariest Roblox game, it is also compatible with VR. In Alone in a Dark House, you’ll collaborate with other players as a private investigator to investigate an abandoned house. You’ll solve riddles and dig into a story about a serial killer on the hunt for his next victim. You’ll learn more about the house’s former occupants and what happened to them as you explore it. Alone in the Dark House is arguably one of the scariest Roblox games, thanks to its numerous jump scares and two distinct settings.

    25. Neon Spray Paint

    Neon Spray Paint
    Neon Spray Paint

The mechanics of the game are simple. You locate a suitable location to draw or paint, and then you may begin making your artwork. The difficulty level is entirely dependent on your abilities. Other features include the option to change the size of your brush and use the eyedropper.

If you believe you have what it takes to create an outstanding work of virtual art, this game should be a breeze for you. Playing this game with VR equipment improves the experience even more because it simulates drawing with a brush on a canvas. Because you have complete control over your drawing path with a VR controller, your outputs become even more detailed.
