Can we all agree that Zombies are great? From the Walking Dead to Dawn of the Dead, Zombies have never been more popular in pop culture. Roblox has no end to the Zombie games available, so we decided to collect our favorites for you.
If you love Zombie games and you love Roblox, you’re in luck – Here’s our top 25 picks of the best to play!
1. Recoil Zombies by Bad Skeleton

Recoil Zombies is a unique game as it goes away with the silliness of Roblox and tries hard to be serious. This is not just in terms of motif or tone, but more importantly, in the art direction. The patented disproportionate limbs and Lego-like humans are gone in this game. No one is expecting photorealistic graphics on Roblox, but Recoil Zombies aim for such.
The graphics in this game is gorgeous, you would make the mistake that this is an AA production. It is not just the visuals that are great, its sound effects are incredible with every recoil or exploding limb, there is a fantastic aural show.
This game is also very long. Clearing a set number of hordes will also clear a level. It takes 11 hours to reach level 119. For seven hours, you can expect to reach level 101. That is a lot of time shooting zombies if you want to kill time (and also, zombies).
2. Undead Defense Tycoon by Box Games

While this game was not included in the best tycoon game in the Roblox list, it was only because Zombie Defense Tycoon is a better tycoon game. Undead Defense Tycoon is a great game on its own without comparing it to Zombie Defense Tycoon, which also appears in this list.
Obviously, Undead Defense Tycoon is about killing waves and waves of zombies, earning from them, and then building your arsenal, from upgrading your weapon to getting vehicles, including the Super Tank, and you can even create your own fortress.
This game also has a great number of zombie types. They are categorized based on their sizes Small, Normal, and Large. Other zombies include Event Zombies like Jack Zombie which appears during the Christmas season. There are also Alpha Zombies which are supercharged zombies.
This game is a third-person shooter with surprisingly great graphics. In the latest update of this game, the cryo-grenade and the combat drone were added, together with the Horde event.
3. Rise of the Dead by MXKhronos

It is now time for some good RPG with a zombie theme after a barrage of survival shooters. In Rise of the Dead, there are missions, stories, raiding, and shooting. There are also lots of looting. There is also a multiplayer aspect in this game.
You can get missions by interacting with NPCs. The missions are not just the typical fetch quest. There are also times when you have to help trapped civilians who are about to get feasted on by the undead. The same mission may require you to escort the civilian to a safe area. The same saved NPC will give you missions.
Rise of the Dead is not just set at night. You also have to shoot down zombies in broad daylight. There are also missions in that you just have to run and evade the zombies.
4. Survival Zombie Tycoon by Husslematic

Survival Zombie Tycoon is another tycoon game with zombies. This game features a dropper that automatically drops and makes cash. Just like all tycoon games, you have to spend some money in order to earn more money. It also has several for-purchase features like auto-collecting money lying around as dropped by the dropper.
You have to purchase some energy source to power your enterprise. While doing your shopping, you have to fight off zombies walking around the area. This game is not as good looking as Zombie Defense Tycoon but it has some unique gameplay elements like Minecraft-like building. In fact, you can build a base with turrets and electrified fences.
5. Zombie Defense Tycoon by Zood Studios

After being dropped into the thick of the zombie apocalypse, you’ll discover that the only way to survive in the post-zombie world is to build a fortified complex from the ground up in Zombie Defense Tycoon.
Because you only have a few resources and minerals to your name, you’ll need to start making money from your tycoon to upgrade your base in order to accommodate the approaching zombie hordes.
Higher walls, a variety of watchtowers, and strong defense systems should all be relied on to keep undead intruders at bay.
The demonic attack will last as long as you can stand up to waves of advancing zombies that get harder as they get closer.
6. Project Lazarus: Zombies by logitech101

Project Lazarus: Zombies is a wave-based zombie survival horror shooter.
It’s similar to the horde mode found in popular first-person shooters like Call of Duty and Gears of War.
This game was clearly inspired by the Zombies mode in the Call of Duty franchise.
To increase your chances of survival in Project Lazarus: Zombies, you must collect power-ups, build barricades, and buy various weapons.
The waves of zombies are becoming more numerous and difficult to repel.
As you progress, you can open up new locations to combat the increasing difficulty.
This makes it simple to disperse and direct the hordes of zombies.
It also allows you to build more barriers and use specific weapons more effectively.
7. Zombie Apocalypse Roleplay: From Scratch by The Rainbow Omega Group

Many people believe that zombies are a thing of the past. Since Resident Evil first appeared on our PlayStations, there has been an abundance of zombie games.
They are not truly stopped by the nature of zombie hoards after decades of zombie games. Of course, there will be numerous zombie games on Roblox, but only one has a solid foundation in terms of core gameplay and VR compatibility: Zombie Apocalypse Roleplay.
In this game, you can fight and kill zombies before they kill you by using a variety of weapons and gear in a zombie-infested world. When you have your friends by your side, fighting these bloodthirsty beasts becomes more exciting and enjoyable.
You can revive your friends who have been bitten by zombies. As you progress through the game, you will unlock new stages and areas to explore and clear of zombies.
Each new stage grants you new and more advanced weapons for killing zombies and defending yourself against them.
This version of the game is a remake with numerous improvements. This is the “kiddie” version of the game; if you prefer a stricter experience, play the “legacy” version if you want the roleplaying heavy game.
8. Zombie Strike by Good Ape

This is another game where you defeat zombies. But unlike most of the games on this list, there are boss zombies which are significantly more powerful than the default zombie mob. You can loot powerful weapons and even unlock new missions. There is a Zombie Yeti boss in this game and it should be fun striking it down.
The shooting in this game is more chaotic than what you would expect in a zombie game. It is not really that subdued, and it felt like it is a Hero shooter with all of the bombs and blaster-like special effects of the gunshots.
9. Field Trip Z by Splitting Point Studios

This is a surprisingly polished game given the subject matter. Maybe because the school layout and design, as well as the props all over the school, are meticulously curated. There are even hidden rooms on the ceilings.
This game has multiple endings, 12 in total. Compared to every game in this list, Field Trip Z is focused on storytelling. This has a multiplayer aspect too, so the implementation is rather brave. First, you will be introduced to the teacher Karen. Second, you can interact with lots of items in the game like the lockers. Third, there is a bully that will make you follow him. Finally, due to that misadventure with the bully, you are going to be held in detention. During detention, the principal will go out after some noise outside. The noises are the zombies that will hunt everyone in the school.
10. The Walking Dead Roleplay by DeceptiveInsidious

Is the Walking Dead TV series still going on? Apparently, upon checking, it finally ended in 2022 after 11 seasons. The hopelessness of its narrative, at least on the main properties—the TV series and the comics, may tire its audience into dropping them as a source of entertainment. Interestingly, the video game series of the same property is one of the most revered franchises in this space.
The Walking Dead Roleplay is not the same as the modern take on a point-and-click adventure made by Telltale Games. The former is more of a third-person shooter following the story of some of the characters of The Walking Dead. It is in the name, after all, roleplaying.
11. Zombie Rush by Beacon Studio

Zombie Rush is not just another third-person, although there is a first-person toggle, zombie survival game. It is one of the best third-person zombie survival games in Roblox. The game was first released in 2013, and since then, it has received lots of updates including better AI and prettier graphics. Also, new maps are being churned out every now and then. One of the better maps available in Zombie Rush is the Mars-like crash site where the physics are botched because of the low gravity.
There is a battle pass, and you can also buy weapons, even a nuclear bazooka is up for grabs. The nuclear bazooka is not a good purchase though as it just destroys the zombies. There is also a level system and the multiplayer aspect works great. The weapon skins are also pretty.
12. Plants vs Undead Tycoon by GD Corp

Plants vs Zombies was one of the most beloved games in the modern era. It essentially ran on every platform imaginable, be it traditional gaming consoles or mobile devices. In the late 2000s, there are several mobile platforms, an overwhelming majority of which is dead with Android and iOS remaining, and Plants vs Zombies was made available on those now-extinct devices.
Plants vs Undead Tycoon is the 3D conversion of the innovative tower defense game. While the original game has now effectively abandoned the genre favoring full-blown shooter, Plants vs. Undead Tycoon again returns to the classic’s roots. This is, of course, while waiting for Plants vs. Zombies 3 which was promised by EA to return when it got pulled out from the mobile storefront. As of now, Plants vs Undead Tycoon should be enough.
13. Zombie Stories by PANDEMIC

Zombie Stories is one of the few Roblox games that leans hard in storytelling, serious storytelling that is. The voice-over is effectively implemented. You are basically inside a military installation, or a gigantic science laboratory. You have to make your way out of this undead nightmare.
You have to place bombs in doors to open them, and while the clock is ticking down, you have to survive hordes of zombies. This is a first-person shooter with good graphics due to the use of shadow and incredible lighting effects. Once you get into the well-lit area, you will be surprised by how good the graphics are.
You can also team up with up to five players for co-op missions or other game modes. This game is still in Beta, so more updates to improve the game are expected.
14. Among Us Zombies by Playful Club

Well, Among Us is one of the most popular games during the height of the Covid-19 Pandemic. It is bound to have a Roblox equivalent. But no one thought it with be mixed with zombies like this creation by Playful Club.
So, what happens in a zombie-flavored Among Us game? This is not a social deduction game but rather uses the art style and locations of Among Us in a horde survival game. It has the astronauts as the zombified opponents for players to shut down by shooting them up.
This game has great graphics and colorful environments. Admittedly, the sound effects are grating as compared to the rest of the games that are included in this list.
15. MMC Zombies Project by MikuMikuClub

Unfortunately, this game is not maintained anymore. This game is based on Call of Duty: World at War – Zombies. This time it is reduced to a Roblox game. You have to fight endless waves of zombies. You can construct barricades, purchase iconic weapons such as the M1 Garand, and upgrade your equipment.
The map is identical to the original Call of Duty zombies map, so if you’ve played that before, it’ll definitely bring back memories.
Although there can be up to 40 players on a server at the same time, this is a game best enjoyed with your friends.
16. Zombie Uprising by USSF – United States Special Forces

Zombie Uprising is a zombie horde survival game. It can be played on PC, mobile (including tablets), as well as the Xbox One. Currently, this game is enjoying its fifth season. It offers battle passes that include skins and weapon rewards.
This first-person zombie shooting game is chaotic. The absolute mayhem is quite enjoyable still as there are rewards just by playing the game. With the battle pass, the rewards are increased after completing missions.
This game is constantly getting updated with new weapons, gameplay improvements, as well as bug fixes.
17. Zombie Tag by The Gang Stockholm

Zombie Tag is a classic zombie game on Roblox. Some players play as zombies, while others must hide or defeat the zombies as they attack. Human players must collect keys scattered around the map, unlock each safe, and then flee in a helicopter.
Zombie Tag allows players to play as a zombie. Some of the games on this list allow the players to play as the undead, this game treats such as not an afterthought because the core gameplay, being a tag game, allows two different teams.
18. Rescue Zombie Assault by FNACC95

Zombie games usually follow the same core game mechanics where you just mindlessly shoot down zombies. In Roblox Rescue Mission, it is more about, as the title expressly mentions, rescuing.
You are to ride a helicopter, which actually difficult to control, but it is still manageable. If you crash your helicopter, you are going to be back on a third-person shooting bonanza.
19. Escape the Zombie School by Decent Obbies

This is one of the more recent games on this list. The zombies have taken over the school and you have to walk around the school. There are various checkpoints peppered across the game, and the zombies are not really in your face, meaning, not really the ones you are fighting. This is more of an obstacle course running around the school, navigating the puzzle-like air ventilation system and the like.
20. Disney Zombies Roleplay by Quesito Roleplays

That’s right, you read the accurately and the title of the game is what it is supposed to be. Your expectation will not be subverted. So the background story of this game is that five decades ago, there is a community called Sea Brook. Then the power plant exploded resulting in a good number of Sea Brook citizens turning into zombies.
Now you have to roleplay lovers or enemies, depending on how you go about it.
22. All of Us Are Dead by LUCK!LUCK!LUCK!

This is based on the Korean Netflix show. So if you are a fan of the series, then this series will be amazing for you. However, if you are not a fan of the series, then try other games instead.
You have to kill the zombies rampaging all over the school. There may be specific cameos or Easter eggs from the series, but only those who watched the series religiously can identify them.
23. Tower Defense Simulator by Paradoxum Games

This is actually one of the best games on this list. Not just because it is a zombie game, but also, because it is the most polished of the bunch. It is a tower defense in the sense that you deploy turrets (which are actually soldiers or tanks), and you are to stop the marching zombies.
Your avatar is a giant human running all over the map and upgrade your soldiers and turrets.
24. Evade by Hexagon Development Community

This is not a shooting game, this is an escape game. Unlike Escape the Zombie School, there are no exaggerated puzzles rather, it is just a plain building and underground facility. This is a refreshing take for such a tired genre. You will get tired too in playing this game because you really cannot fight back, you just have to run around doing nothing but evading.
The multiplayer aspect of this game allows players to revive each other after carrying them into safer places. There are also levels that are pitch black for maximum terror.
25. Zombie Attack by Zombie Attack Official

Zombie Attack is another horde-based shooter. It has one of the best implementations of a flamethrower as a weapon. You can also set the difficulty from 1 to 5, with 5 being the most difficult. By completing highly difficult waves, the rewards also increase significantly. That means, enduring the insanely difficult modes will have more experience and cash.
You can also have a pet that can heal you or do something else in assisting you in this chaotic shooter. This may not be the most good-looking game on the list, but this is Roblox, not a Crytek game.
