Gotham Knights is out on all platforms and despite getting rocky reviews, fans of the series are still playing and grinding the game. There are tons of armors, and upgrades for players to unlock in the game.
This guide will talk about how you can acquire the best loot, and Mods, and even work your way toward unlocking heroic and legendary gear in Gotham Knights.
Best Ways To Unlock Heroic And Legendary Loot In Gotham Knights
We’ll be taking a look at some of the opportunities and activities that Gotham Knights throws at you from the start, and some that unlock as you progress further in the campaign. These activities help you unlock gear, Mods, and armor upgrades.
Solve Crimes
Premeditate Crimes are scattered across the entire map and they house some of the best weapon and armor rewards in the game.
These crimes scale with your level so, they’ll always be challenging no matter when you tackle them. You can check the rewards section for each Crime activity to see what’s on offer and streamline your grind. This activity can drop both Heroic and Legendary Loot.
Repeat Missions and Challenges
You can go to the Contacts tab in the Options and replay any missions or challenges you’ve completed for any contact you’ve met during the story missions of Gotham Knights. Characters like Talia, Lucious Fox, and even the Penguin will offer you different missions and challenges to complete. These replayable challenges and missions can be paired with crime-fighting activities to get double the XP and Heroic/Legendary drops.
Bruce’s Hidden Loot Caches
Batman has hidden a lot of loot caches around Gotham City for his successors to find and claim the rewards. These loot caches contain some of the most badass gear drops in the game and can serve as a surefire way of acquiring good gear, early on in the game.
To find these hidden caches, you need to complete their respective parkour challenges until they provide you with the coordinates where it is hidden. These caches will respawn every night so there’s no need to save them for a higher-level character. Just keep doing them every night as you jump back and start fighting crime.
To start finding them, you need to complete the first one (location marked in the image below) around Level 15 and once you do that, the rest will pop up on your map.
These caches provide a lot of Heroic Mods that can help crank up your weapon’s damage to insane levels.
Owl Nests
After your first encounter with the court of owls, you’ll unlock the Owl Nests activity on the map. This activity involves finding a hidden dungeon that belongs to the court of owls and defeating all the enemies in the area to loot the Advanced Chest inside. Owl Nests guarantee a double item drop, that can potentially have Heroic loot as well.
Gotham’s Most Wanted [Late Game Method]
Once you’ve reached Level 30, you can start completing Gotham’s Most Wanted where you have to track and hunt some named bosses who belong to different crime syndicates.
These bosses are a bit tricky to deal with, which is why we’ve listed this activity as Late Game but the rewards they offer are sweet, so it’s worth the grind. Once you’ve completed all of the challenges for The Watch, its icon will disappear from the map.
Once you take one of these enemies down, they will drop a guaranteed Legendary item and hundreds of materials. You also get yellow Legendary crafting materials from them as well. These enemies usually spawn at high-difficulty crime events, so be on the lookout for a prominent (named) enemy every time you are doing these activities.
Complete The Watch Challenges
Upon reaching Level Cap (Lvl 30) and completing the story, you can visit people from The Watch and collect Rewards for already completed challenges or start new ones from there. These challenges are a bit lengthy and offer rewards like Mats and Legendary gear drops.
These are some of the best ways to get Heroic and Legendary loot in Gotham Knights. It’s a brand-new game so players are bound to find smarter ways of grinding gear and Mats, which is why we’ll be updating this guide later on.
