To start your journey in perhaps the finest AOT game, we’ll go through all the various parts of the game with you, and with our tips, you’ll go from a beginner to a pro in no time.

Missions
We’ll first discuss the Missions aspect of the game and how they work. Missions are one of the most important aspects of the game as this is how you earn XP, cash, perks, and much more. Thus, once you’ve started the game and roamed around a little bit, start making your way to the Missions spot shown below.
Once you go there, a popup will appear which will show the different maps where you can carry out your missions and their different difficulty levels. Don’t get too overconfident and straight away start in the hard or extreme mode, though. Go through the easier levels first and get a feel of the game and the controls and how they really work and slowly make your way up while also earning stacks of cash and other rewards.

Along with missions, they’re something called quests as well. They may be the easiest game features, yet completing them will also earn you great prizes. All you have to do is go to an NPC and he’ll give you a quest. The quest will probably be relatively straightforward, like killing this many players or opening a crate, etc. There are several quests you may do at once, so I advise doing them all.
Upgrades
The next part of the game that we’re gonna be discussing is Updates. Basically, upgrades, as the name suggests, are used to level up your individual abilities like durability, speed, etc. Thus, in order to upgrade your abilities, come to the area shown below. Once you’re here, go to the man inside and click t on him. This would make a window pop up which shows your different abilities and how to upgrade them.

We would recommend just updating the speed and damage abilities since you don’t really need the other abilities that much. Also, they’re not very expensive to upgrade so put the money you earned from missions to good use and invest in yourself.
Skills
Next up, we have the skills section. To get all the super cool skills and make your character go to the next level, stop by the area shown below. Like the upgrades section, just go to the man inside and press T on him.

A window will pop up illustrating a skill tree where you can buy different skills and upgrade existing ones. There’s a caveat though. To buy the different skills like attack, defend build etc you need SP points which you can only earn by doing missions. So go ahead and first complete the missions and then get a chance to buy new and exciting skills.
Titan Killing
Now that you have all the super cool skills and have upgraded your abilities, you’re ready for the main event: Titan Killing. This will by far be the most fun part of the game so go ahead and hop on a mission and let’s kill some Titans.
There are many ways to kill a Titan but we will show you the easiest and quickest method. When a titan is in front of you, it will have a little red marker on it like the one shown below.

The best move is the “Double Grappgle”. In this, all you have to do is gas and go behind him and then come back around to stab and inflict damage on him. It’ll take about two of these shots and the titan will be done for. Yes, it’s that simple!
Clans
Lastly, we will cover Clans. Clans will be one of the most important and exciting parts of this gameplay so let’s dive deep and understand the different types of clans.
There are 3 levels in Clans: Legendary, Rare, and Uncommon. To get into each clan, there are some requirements, that act as a test of whether you deserve to join the clan or not. For example, to join the Yeager clan, you need to have the “Roar” and “WillPower” skills along with a couple of other stuff. Thus, find the best clan and make some new friends!
