Alchemy Stars was released on both Android and iOS a few months back, and with it came a new strategic game that had layers of different mechanics that were easy to get on board with. In this listicle, we’ll be going over the best heroes that you should be aiming for in your journey through the game, and some of the lower tier ones that will help you in your early stages.
The Best Alchemy Stars Characters Ranked in Order
With the game having a variety of different characters, we’ve categorized a few in the S-Tier, followed by the A and B-Tier. Keep in mind that having the best heroes on your team isn’t what makes all the difference. By picking the right characters that complement each other, you’ll be maximizing your efficiency far more.
Keep an eye out for element types, buffs, debuffs, and abilities that other characters can make use of. This can lead to an A tier character for instance, providing more value than an S tier character by virtue of their buffs and debuffs.
S-Tier
Lilica

Lilica is a Support character in Alchemy Stars and makes it to the top of this tier list. Her wide array of support skills allows her teammates to move inside dazzling arrays, improving the overall mobility of your entire team. Moreover, she can grant shields to her allies using her equipment skill which can prolong your allies’ survivability.
Minos

If it’s damage you are looking for, Minos is an excellent pick. Second in line, he’s a sniper who can deal a ton of damage on his own. But, his coup de grace is his ability to increase the damage output of his allies too. When he has only 0 stacks left, he even gains a 25% bonus to his ATK.
Normal attacks from Minos will hit enemies in all 8 directions, his Chain Combo’s damage isn’t reduced after consecutive attacks on the same target, and his equipment skill damage is amplified by 2.5 times.
Fia

Fia’s a well-rounded character and works fairly better with a water team primarily because ‘Damp’ will give your team a bonus of 15% damage bonus while her active skill will reduce the enemy’s DEF, improving your overall DPS. Fia is a fun-to-play character and very easy to get into (she’s F2P as well).
Queen

Queen is an S-Tier character with hard-hitting abilities in her arsenal. Her skills include an active skill in which she deals 320% damage to all enemies as she enters the battle and causes 6 stacks of Exploit Weakness. Water enemies receive an additional of 6 stacks (12 total).
By using her equipment, you can use her normal attacks to hit 2-combo attacks which deal a total of 60% basic damage per hit. If all abilities are used strategically, Queen can nuke enemies and bring the battle down to a fast end.
A-Tier
Mythos

Mythos is our first selection in A-Tier, who can effectively operate at a range to clear the field of any threats. He is a forest unit and works as a sniper. For the most part, you’ll be able to achieve significant damage output with Mythos as he can chain combos but keep in mind that this is limited by how many green tiles you can chain together.
Migard

Migrad’s a 6-star sniper with the ability to teleport within X3 clusters nearby and can cause 250% damage to non-friendly units within the X1 surrounding cluster. If there is only one enemy unit in the X1 range, then the damage done is doubled turning him into a lethal pick for spread-out battlefields.
Requiem

Requiem’s able to deal damage to all units on the map, and has a chain combo attack that deals between 160% to 180% damage, and the enemy that’s the furthest away from her will also take a lightning bolt that does the same amount of damage.
Regal

Regal is a Detonator in Alchemy Stars as a water unit. Offensive attacks soon follow his presence on the field via chain combos that can deal up to 180% damage. By using his active skill, you’ll be able to enter the Augmented State that will amplify his damage further while also giving him diagonal reach.
B-Tier
Jona

Who is Jona? Well, he’s a sniper with the fire element that uses her increased accuracy to boost her overall damage by 15% and her chain combo damage by 30%. Overall, she can buff herself as well as any other Aurorians utilizing the fire elemental which makes her a great team player.
Frostfire

Compared to the more conventional cooldowns in Alchemy Stars, Frostfire relies heavily on Vi to deal the damage generated whenever she lands hits on enemies. With this in mind, you’ll have to chain as many red tiles as possible and eventually use her active skill. If you manage your resources correctly, Frostfire can be a useful ally and deadly to the enemy.
Kanna

Kanna is weak compared to other characters in the roster but can still hold her ground in a hitch. Her active skill will activate in a linear path that deals 280% damage to all unfortunate enemies standing in it and knocks back enemies on the adjacent tiles. This is a fairly useful attack to disperse enemies and catch them off-guard if you feel that their positioning might be making you vulnerable.
Raphael

Raphael is the final one on the list but by no means the weakest in the entirety of the roster. She is a support character who uses the water element. Don’t let her arsenal of cannons deceive you into thinking she deals a lot of damage; she is actually a very powerful healer and synergizes with other characters using the water element.
Moreover, the greater the number of blue tiles on the field, the better her healing will be.
Conclusion
Those are what we think to be some of the more useful characters in Alchemy Stars. There are countless more you can explore, and you definitely should! But, if you feel like giving yourself a go at one of the best then you might want to try out Lilica!
Or, if you’re on a budget, then pick a character from our B-Tier. Each of the characters mentioned in this Alchemy Stars tier list offers a unique and fun playstyle.
