Roblox is a hugely popular choice for a free-to-play game. If you like to get some play time during school in a lesson you might’ve already studied, then you can pour a few of those hours into Roblox.

However, if your school has blocked any ‘fun’ activities on the internet, you might have to find an alternative solution. Fortunately for you, in this guide, we’ll be showing you how to unblock Roblox at school.

How to Unblock Roblox at School

To unblock Roblox at school, you can either use a VPN (Virtual Private Network), use a cloud gaming service, or install Parsec on your home computer to be able to access the game remotely.

Most free VPNs will provide you with a different IP address at the cost of speed. This throttled speed will impact your overall experience and prevent you from actually enjoying the game.

Here’s a quick look at how you can unblock Roblox at school on ChromeOS / Android / iOS and Windows.

Note: While these methods will remain the same, actual steps may vary depending on the platform of your choice.

    By Turning Off Sync (Chromebook)

You can try turning off sync, but in some cases, you may be restricted from editing the sync settings.

    1. Go to your Chromebook’s settings.
    2. Scroll down and click on “Sync and Google services”.

    3. Click on “Manage what you sync”.
    4. Select “Customize sync”.
    5. Turn everything off.

    6. Restart your Chromebook, and you’re good to go.

    By Using a VPN (Universal)

To play Roblox unblocked at school using your school provided Chromebook or any device for that matter through NordVPN, go through the following steps:

     Nord VPN Quick Connect
    Nord VPN Quick Connect
    1. Start by downloading Roblox from Google’s Play Store on your Chromebook.
    2. Download NordVPN as well from the Google Play Store.
    3. Log into your account on NordVPN and click on “Quick Connect”.
    4. Launch the game with your established secure connection, and you’ll be ready to play!

Note: You do not need to use NordVPN. Any VPN that allows for relatively decent ping will do just fine!

By Using A Cloud Gaming Service (Universal)

Cloud gaming services essentially act as a secondary computer that you connect to over the internet. These computers, depending on the service you use are equipped with varying degrees of power. Regardless, you’ll be able to play at a stable FPS since Roblox is a non-demanding game.

These services can be used on any device that has an internet connection. And, is not bound by your geographical location or your school’s internet restrictions either. Moreover, all of these services either use a web-app, which lets you access the service right from your browser.

Or, you can just download their applications if applicable. Usually, the application provides a smoother experience. Here’s a quick list of services we recommend for playing Roblox unblocked at school:

    • Now.GG
    • Shadow
    • AirGPU

We have written a full guide on how to use Now.gg here.

While tons of other options like NVIDIA GeForce Now exist, you will not be able to play Roblox on them since the application inherently does not support it. You can check whether your favorite cloud gaming application supports Roblox here.

By Using Parsec (Windows / macOS)

    Parsec
    Parsec

Parsec establishes a direct P2P (peer-to-peer) connection between the host client and a device. In layman’s terms, it allows you to use your home computer / laptop remotely effectively turning it into a server. Since you’ll be accessing Roblox through your home internet, it won’t matter where you are connecting from.

This method too, is quite similar to using a cloud gaming service. However, it is completely free but requires you to set up Parsec on your computer and to also have a compatible device to be able to view / use your host computer.

One added advantage is that you will have complete access to your computer at all times. So, you can also play other games and even edit videos and use your computer as you would at home with no trouble.

From our experience, the packet loss is relatively minimal and it works great on school connection even though they aren’t known to be the best.

    Conclusion

Schools usually block anything that falls under the ‘gaming’ category as they are considered a distraction. With the methods listed above, you’ll be able to start your game up and get into a server without a hitch

VPNs can be slow, but NordVPN is reliable and offers fast speeds with secure connections. It’s $10 per month but very well worth it! You can try opting for other VPNs as well, and see which works best with Roblox
