League of Legends is a multiplayer online battle arena video game developed and published by Riot Games. The game features two teams of five players each, with each team occupying and defending their own separate base on the map.
Each of the ten players controls their known as a “champion”, with different abilities and styles of play. During a match, players accumulate experience points and items for their champions to successfully defeat their opponents’ champions in player versus player combat.
The objective is usually to destroy the opposing team’s “nexus”, a structure that lies at the heart of a base surrounded by defensive structures.
