The diversity of locations and characters within each area represents a vast amount of content, a genuine accomplishment for the developers. Although it is possible to progress through the story by running from checkpoint to checkpoint, players are encouraged to explore, speak to non-playable characters, and complete side-quests. Collecting items, battling creatures, and helping others allow players to accumulate money to spend, vital items, and experience points.
Players continue to gain extra skills and abilities while developing stronger “affinity” with their party members. There are many areas to manage to make the most of Shulk and his teammates, too many to list here, but it is rewarding to see tangible improvements and enhancements in your capabilities.
Xenoblade Chronicles employs a real-time system rather than turn-based battles which is maybe done by various JRPGs like Star Ocean and the Tales series but if Nintendo dips into that, it is the future.
7. Metroid Prime Trilogy

12. Punch-Out!!
Prior to this Wii title, it has been 15 years since the last Punch-Out!! game was released, and despite being made by Nintendo, the game never found an audience in Japan. Punch-Out!! follows the same puzzle-like gameplay as previous games. The objective is to figure out each opponent’s pattern, react accordingly to dodge their moves, and launch your own counter-attack. The rules of the game are similar to those of the NES game, with a maximum of three rounds in every fight, and if you or your opponent is knocked down thrice in one round, the fight will end in a TKO.
Next Level Games brings back elements from previous console games. In the NES game, players can earn stars by hitting opponents at the right times, which can be used to unleash powerful uppercuts that take away a significant amount of health. In the SNES game, players can recover some health while their opponent is knocked down. The new game features all the opponents from the NES game except Mike Tyson/Mr. Dream, making a total of ten fighters, along with two from the SNES game and an entirely new character, Disco Kid, to bring the total number of fighters to 13.
Punch-Out!! is a great-looking game, and its opponents are undoubtedly its best feature. They have been given fantastic personalities, making the game much more entertaining than previous versions. While a multiplayer mode was attempted, it was not as successful as the game’s single-player mode. Nevertheless, its revival is one of the most unexpected, almost like a sucker punch, that came out of the Wii.
13. Muramasa: The Demon Blade
Muramasa: The Demon Blade is a 2D action game developed by Vanillaware and originally released for the Wii in 2009. The game has since been ported to other platforms, such as the PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. While the Wii version of the game has its merits, the improvements made in the ports make them a better choice for players who have access to those systems.

The latter asks players to place the remote face down on a table and pick it up at the appropriate moment. With a total of 18 forms and one bonus Nunchuk form, players have a wealth of control options to explore.

Namco has released a remastered version of the 2.5D platformer, Klonoa, on Nintendo’s Wii console to celebrate its 10th anniversary. The game features 3D visuals but is still played on a rail with multiple pathways and puzzles.

I know I’m so late on the bandwagon, but I’m planning on getting a Wii solely for Wii Sports Resort (https://www.emugames.net/nintendo-wii-roms/wii-sports-resort/). I plan to play it with my five-year old son. Are there games like it? The Switch Sports seems good, too. But it only has like half a dozen games for a rediculous price tag.
