FanDuel, the popular online sports betting and bookmarking company, has moved further into the United States sporting market, thanks to a new partnership with professional football team Pittsburgh Steelers.
According to a report published on Gambling Insider, the deal will see both parties partner for marketing and advertising gains, while also cementing the status of FanDuel as the official daily fantasy partner of the National Football League franchise.
Mutual, progressive marketing
Under the terms of the new deal, the marketing agreement will see the FanDuel brand feature prominently at the Heinz Field home of the Steelers, in addition to extensive access to other digital marketing resources, including scoreboard and LED board video signage, television ads, digital advertising, and radio ads.
Ryan Huzjak, the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Pittsburgh Steelers, said, “We’re excited to bring FanDuel into the fold as our official daily fantasy partner. We think Steelers fans will enjoy the FanDuel platform and the opportunity to compete for unique Steelers prizes.”
As a part of the partnership, the New York-based bookmarking company also revealed that it would offer a unique experience for customers and fans of the Steelers, including but not limited to access to a fantasy camp event at the Heinz Field. Additional information concerning the event will be rolled out in due time.

Our Pennsylvania customers love their teams and their players, and by partnering with the Steelers, we’ll further deliver on our promise to further engage fans and meaningfully grow our brand,” said Matt King, the chief executive of the betting giant.
FanDuel partners with the Indianapolis Colts
The move caps off what has been a huge month for FanDuel. On October 10, the betting company announced in a press release that it had made a similar partnership with the Indianapolis Colts, another NFL team.
Per the press release, the two partners will work together through the 2019/20 season, at the very least, engaging their customers and fans via a wide array of marketing media.
The NFL and gambling links keep growing
It also continues a string of moves that solidify the integration of the gambling and professional sports industries. On September 26, online gambling firm 888 Sports announced via Twitter that it would be extending its partnership with the New York Jets.

Providing additional clarity, Lindy Sports reported that the two partners had inked a deal to run for the 2019/20 season, extending a collaboration that began back in 2018. The deal will see the 888 Casino brand promoted throughout the MetLife Stadium at home Jets games, as well as on other promotional materials for the team.
888 will also be made to display the New York Jets logo on its online gambling platform, as well as promotional materials such as social media posts and television commercials.
